The event is held indoors at Fremont Studios, which is located at 155 N. 35th St., Seattle, WA 98103, in the heart of Fremont. The event is close to a large selection of restaurants, bars and shopping. Click here for directions

Where can I find parking?

Fremont has lots of street parking available. There are also many U-park lots in the vicinity.

How much does it cost to get in?

It depends on how many beer/wine tokens you want to start out with and if you are interested in the Tequila or Scotch Sampler or the Scotch Seminar.

$25 General Admission: Admission, 5 oz. commemorative tasting glass and five beer/wine tasting tokens. $20 in Advance

$30 Grand Admission: Admission, 5 oz. commemorative tasting glass and ten beer and wine tasting tokens. $25 in Advance

$15 Non Drinking Admission: Admission and four tickets good for water or soda redeemable at the Hop Stop booth. Not available for Advance Purchase

All tickets are good for one day only

$10 Spirit Sampler: Includes a flight of five- 1/4 oz. Scotch or tequila tastes. Purchase of Admission Required.

$30 Scotch Tasting Seminars: Includes an hour long seminar with the Master of Whisky and eight- 1/4 oz. Scotch tastes. Purchase of Admission Required.

$40 Scotch Pairing Seminars: Choose a Scotch and Chocolate Pairing Seminar on Friday at 7:00pm or a Scotch and Cigar Pairing Seminar on Saturday at 4:00pm.

Can I buy advanced tickets?

Yes! Advance tickets are on sale March 15th, starting at $20. At the event, present your ticket at the door for a 5oz commemorative tasting glass and five beer/wine tokens. We will still have to check your ID at the festival when you present your ticket. Commemorative tasting glasses are available while supplies last.

What are the benefits of buying advance tickets?

With the purchase of an advance ticket you can save up to $5 off your entry.

What is the appropriate ID to get in?

The WA Liquor Control Board will accept 1) a driver's license with a photo from any state; 2) a current passport; 3) a DMV identification card; and 4) a military card. The state identification card and/or the military card must bear a picture of the person, the person's name, address, date of birth, a physical description and the signature of the person.

Does Hop Scotch accept credit cards or checks?

Hop Scotch accepts cash, Mastercard and Visa.

Is there re-entry at Hop Scotch?

There is same day re-entry at Hop Scotch. You must keep your ticket for re-entry. Please have your ticket scanned out and hand stamped before you leave in order to re-enter. You will need to have your ticket scanned back in at the re-entry gate when you return to the festival. You may only use your ticket for one day.

Can I bring my child?

No. This is a 21 and over only event.

What is the deal with glasses and tokens?

Okay, so you're in. Now what? Well, in order to sample beer or wine at the festival you must have the official commemorative tasting glass. Servers will not pour beer or wine into anything else. Admission includes a commemorative tasting glass that holds 5oz. Servers do not accept cash. Tokens for beer/wine are included in General and Grand Admission. Additional tokens can be purchased at the Hop Stop booth inside the event. Tokens cost $1.75 a piece and one token (unless otherwise noted) will get you one taste of your choice of beer or wine. Tokens are non-refundable.

When do admission and extra token sales cease?

On both Friday and Saturday admission and tokens sales will stop at 11:00pm, precisely one-half hour before the taps are closed at 11:30pm. Be aware of this when scheduling your visit to the festival. We want you to be happy. So arrive early and allow yourself plenty of time to enjoy the festival.

When do taps shut down?

Taps will shut down at 11:30pm. The event will announce a last call at 11:15pm. No beer will be served after 11:30pm. The festival closes at 12:00am.

Is there any food on site?

Yes! White Linen Catering will be selling delicious food at the Hop Stop Cafe.

Is smoking allowed?

There is no smoking allowed inside the festival but there is plenty of room outside the festival for smoking if you need to. We also ask that you do not litter and use the cigarette cans located outside. Remember that to re-enter the festival you must keep your ticket and get your ticket scanned and hand stamped when you leave. Your ticket will need to be scanned back in when you re-enter.

What about designated drivers?

If you are part of a group and plan to drink, assign a designated driver or take a taxi. Designated drivers who register at the main entrance will receive water and soda tickets. Designated drivers may not drink beer while at the festival. Please abide by this rule and help us create a safe event for everyone. Non-Drinking admission is $15 and can be purchased at the event.

What if the person I'm with doesn't drink? Do they have to pay $25?

Guests (including designated drivers) who are not drinking pay a $15 non-drinking admission fee. Non-Drinking tickets are unavailable in advance but may be purchased day-of at the event.
